Is brow tattooing the same as microblading or nano brows?

The terms eyebrow tattooing, semi-permanent eyebrows, microblading, and nano brows are often used interchangeably — but they are distinct techniques. Traditional eyebrow tattooing uses iron oxide pigments and large needles for a solid, block result that can appear harsh. Microblading uses a blade to create hair strokes. Nano brows (the Olivia Yu specialty) uses a single fine acoustic machine needle to create the most natural, undetectable hairstrokes of any available technique.
