I’ve always believed that a PMU artist shouldn’t work in a vacuum. We must move in sync with the makeup world.
I spend hours studying top makeup artists and current beauty trends because our work should mirror the modern aesthetic:
- Brows: Moving away from “blocky” fills to airy, individual hairstrokes that mimic natural growth.
- Lips: Shifting from outdated “Barbie Pinks” to muted dusty roses and soft contouring that enhances the natural pout.
⏳ The 3-Year Dynamic Theory
Makeup trends typically cycle every 3 years. This is why I choose high-quality pigments that naturally metabolize over that same period.
My Philosophy: Don’t “weld” a trend from five years ago onto your face today.
By allowing the pigment to fade gracefully, we leave room for your look to evolve. As your style changes and your features mature, your PMU should have the flexibility to be refreshed and rewritten.
